Green Tea
There can be very few regulars
to the clinic who will not have
heard me extolling the virtues of
green tea.
It is one of the most common
drinks in the world.
The Chinese and Japaense
attribute their longevity
and vitality to the quality
of the green tea.
Green tea comes from the
chamellia sinesis` plant and is
different from black tea in that it
is steamed and not fermented
before drying.
Green tea can help with lowering
cholesterol, it is a valuable antioxidant-
to increase
health and decrease
illness, it
could especially
assist smokers and
ex smokers to reduce
the volume of
inhaled carcinogens
in the body (giving up or even
not starting in the first place is
still the best option)
It assists in lowering the appetite
in obesity.
One study showed
people consumed 200 calories
less per day if they drank green
tea.
Green tea has shown an ability
to decrease cancer markers in
the human body, and to increase
good gut bacteria which makes it
very useful in these days of poor
food, antibiotics and many food
intolerances.
