Health Hut Natural Health Clinic
Steena Barnett is a qualified Western Medical herbalist and Director of Sales for Health Hut Botanicals.
She runs the busy Health Hut clinic,
writes articles and gives lectures in
herbal medicine.
She has had an interest in healing,
history and plants for as long as she
can remember.
Steena qualified as a registered nurse in 1995 in Peterborough UK. After a few years nursing she began to start looking for something better, as she felt there was something which could help the people more than western orthodox medicine and surgery.
By chance her brother knew David Hoffman who suggested Western Herbal medicine as a future profession. Knowing very little about herbs she started at the College of Phytotherapy in Tunbridge Wells, which was run by the extraordinary Hein Zelystra.
Steena very quickly realized this was precisely what she wanted to do. After qualifying from the college Steena became a member of the National Institute of Herbal Medicine.
She ran several successful practices in the UK before moving to Australia
and started her busy practice in the western suburbs of Brisbane.
Steena is an member of the National Herbalists Association of Australia and actively campaigns for government recognition and registration of herbalists.
